Registering to Vote or Changing Party Affiliation to Vote in May
If you are currently registered to vote, you do not have to re-register unless you have moved, or wish to change your name or political party affiliation. School Board elections are typically won in the primary – Tuesday MAY 17, 2011. If you are an Independent, you will have to change your party affiliation to Democrat or Republican for the primary because School Board candidates only cross file on the Republican and Democrat tickets. You must be a registered Republican or Democrat to vote for candidates in the May 17th primary.
